Washington, D.C. — Today, Rep. Barry Moore voiced strong opposition to a 1,012-page, $1.2 trillion swamp spending package. Moore criticized the rushed timeline for reviewing the legislation, stating, "Many Americans are talking about March madness on the basketball court, but the real madness is happening in Congress.” He further expressed concern about the lack of border security provisions in the bill, highlighting the wasteful spending that prioritizes other agendas over American interests.

According to Moore, "Members had 24 hours to review a thousand-page bill that spends $1 trillion of Americans' hard-earned taxpayer dollars, and it's no wonder Democrats' are celebrating the bill's passage. This legislation includes no true border security provisions and continues to fund the same woke, weaponized, and wasteful spending that puts America last."

The Biden-Schumer swamp spending package includes various allocations that Moore finds objectionable. These provisions range from funding a new FBI headquarters and the World Health Organization to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion programs. Additionally, the bill allocates significant sums to address issues such as illegal immigration, gender equity initiatives, and abortion services.

In summary, Rep. Barry Moore's opposition to the $1.2 trillion spending package reflects concerns about the rushed process, lack of border security measures, and allocation of funds to programs that he believes do not prioritize the best interests of the American people.
