Rep. Barry Moore of Alabama has joined forces with Rep. Thomas Massie from Kentucky in a letter addressed to Attorney General Merrick Garland. The letter warns that Garland could face consequences if the Department of Justice (DOJ) is found to have delayed the release of the Inspector General's report on the DOJ's involvement in the events surrounding January 6, 2021.

This move comes after testimony from the DOJ’s Inspector General indicated that the FBI had confidential human sources present on Capitol Grounds during the events of January 6th. It also suggested that there might be delays in releasing the final report on this matter.

"The American people deserve to see the contents of this report, and Attorney General Garland must be held accountable if he is holding up its release," stated Rep. Moore. He further urged, "The Attorney General can end speculation on this matter immediately by releasing the report today."
