The annual Board of Equalization notices were mailed last Friday, 07/01/2022. You will notice an increase in value for improvements which is based on the local construction cost index study the state conducts every four years for the equalization cycle. Land value increases are determined by the current local real estate market. Property owners have until July 30, 2022 to file an appeal with the Board of Equalization if they feel the value that has been given to their property is not what the property is worth. Appeals can be filed online at https://autauga.capturecama.com, by mail or in the office. This is the only time that you can appeal the value of your property.
