Rep. Barry Moore of Alabama has voted in favor of the Stop CCP Act, a piece of legislation introduced by Rep. McClain from Michigan. The act mandates sanctions on all past and future members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s National Congress and their immediate family members.

The sanctions will remain in place until the CCP ceases activities such as theft of American intellectual property, genocide against Uyghur Muslims, incursions into Taiwan, and human rights abuses in Hong Kong.

“The CCP has already proven they are willing to commit any human rights violation necessary to become the world's number one superpower,” said Moore. “Sanctioning the most trusted members of President Xi’s inner circle condemns these atrocities and holds the CCP accountable."
