Rep. Barry Moore (AL-02) has expressed his support for the Protecting American Agriculture from Foreign Adversaries Act, introduced by Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA). This legislation aims to add the Secretary of Agriculture to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and take necessary actions to prohibit foreign adversaries from purchasing U.S. agricultural land.

“As someone who grew up on a farm and is now a member of the House Agriculture Committee, I know that food security is national security,” said Moore. “It's past time for us to protect the American people and help producers who are already feeling the effects of the Biden-Harris economy by preventing the Chinese Communist Party from buying up our farmland."
