Former Prattville High School player and current Delta State Statesmen catcher and infielder, Matthew Nichols, will compete in the NCAA D2 Baseball Championship Tournament.

They begin the tournament as a number six seed against the third seeded Embry-Riddle FL Eagles.

The first game is on Thursday, May 16.
