City of Montgomery recently issued the following announcement.

Introduction:

Ballet and the Beasts is a FREE performance presented by the Montgomery Ballet under the stars at the Montgomery Zoo.  Enjoy this presentation of CARNIVAL OF THE ANIMALS provided by the international troupe of dancers from the Montgomery Ballet.  Ballet and the Beasts is fun for all ages, boys and girls.  Admission is FREE, picnic blankets, lawn chairs, and coolers are welcome.  

Side show performers will be performing prior to the main show.  Also, there will be a live animal ANIMALS OUT presentation held before the performance as guests enter the Zoo's Main Events area.  Animal presentation will be presented by the Zoo's Education Department's Docents and Zooteens.

Montgomery Area Food Bank: The Montgomery Ballet is partnering with the Montgomery Area Food Bank to help build their food supplies for the upcoming holiday season. We are asking all Ballet and the Beasts guests to bring nonperishable food items as a donation on the night of the event.  There will be representatives of the Montgomery Area Food Bank and Montgomery Ballet receiving items as you enter the Zoo.  Thank you for your donations.   

Event fee: FREE ADMISSION FOR ALL.  

Event COVID-19 compliance: While in the Zoo, please maintain a six-foot distance from other guests attending this event.  If you cannot maintain that distance, please wear a face mask and/or covering.  Also, if you enter any building (gift shop or restrooms), following State Ordinance, please wear a face mask and/or covering at all times. Thank you, be safe, and stay healthy.  

IMPORTANT ANIMAL NOTE:  Ballet and the Beasts is an evening event at the Montgomery Zoo.  All zoo animals will be in their night quarters during the event.  Select Education animals will be on display prior to the event.  

Concessions:  Limited concessions will be available for purchase.
