On Tuesday, March 25, former Holtville High School standout Sam Silas’ current college team, the Jacksonville State Gamecocks, won 4-1 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the UAB Blazers.

The game took place at Jerry D. Young Memorial Field. This was their first matchup against the Blazers this season.

The Gamecocks’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 28 at 6 p.m. at Rudy Abbott Field at Jim Case Stadium against Liberty Flames.
