Washington, D.C.—Today, Rep. Barry Moore (AL-02) voted in support of H.R. 192, a bill that prohibits noncitizens from voting in elections in the District of Columbia. This legislation is sponsored by Rep. August Pfluger (R-TX) and repeals the District of Columbia Council’s enactment of the Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2022 (D.C. Law 24-242). This law allows non-citizen residents the right to vote in local elections.

"If you are in the United States illegally, you do not have the right to vote in any of our elections," said Moore. "As Biden allows millions of illegals to pour across our border on the cusp of the most important election in our lifetime, election integrity is more important than ever, and this legislation is an important step toward truly free and fair elections."
