Road Closure | Lowndes County Sheriff's Office
The Lowndes County Sheriffs Office, Lowndes County EMA, and Burkville VFD responded to a call for service in the 7400 block of County Road 26 in the Hope Hull area in reference to a Semi Truck and trailer on fire. Upon arrival contact was made with the driver, who was unharmed, and it was determined that the truck carried consumables and was not a danger to any residents in the area. At this time both lanes of travel on County Road 26 are shut down. Please find alternate routes of travel if you must come through the area.
