Members of the Montgomery County Commission, the Montgomery City Council, and Montgomery’s Mayor came face to face Monday evening to discuss how to appropriate funds from the American Rescue Plan Act in Phase I. They discussed six different programs-a mental health crisis diversion center, live stream body cameras for law enforcement officers responding to a mental health crisis, a sewer/wastewater program, a community restoration initiative to address vacant and abandoned properties, a hospital-based violence intervention program, and small business assistance and development for small and minority business owners.
Funding for Phase II will be discussed at a future joint meeting.
