Four first teamers and a gold glove winner highlighted the SSAC Softball Awards for the Lady Eagles 2022 season. Gracie Pittman, Tara Ammons, Erika Mitchell and Kaileigh Harrison placed first team while Mitchell picked up a gold glove award. Faulkner also placed three: Meagan Schwieterman, Shelbie Burbage and Caity Jo Lee, on the second team and Courtney Haynie on the All-Freshman team.
Pittman led the team with 10 home runs, a mark that places her tied for fifth most in the program's single season tally while hitting .403 and an OPS of 1.160. Ammons hit .422 with an OPS of 1.116 recording 16 doubles and five homers while driving in a team-high 46 runs. Mitchell hit .383 with 16 doubles while boasting a .949 fielding percentage as a third baseman and shortstop. Harrison led the team with a .481 batting average and a 1.041 OPS while being a perfect 22-22 on stolen bases.
Schwieterman holds a 1.57 ERA and a .99 WHIP with 98 total strikeouts through 111.2 innings. Burbage bat .383 with 33 stolen bases to sit at 97 career stolen bases before the conference tournament. Lee stole 27 bases while batting .279 with nine doubles. Haynie scored 11 runs and stole 11 bases with a .263 batting average.
Julianna Thames, Markie Hicks, Katelynn Inness, Jordan Boyd, Colby Adams, Brianna Cagle and Taylor Ammons joined Mitchell and Harrison on the All-Academic team. Madison McKee was named to the Champions of Character team.
