The 2021-22 Barnes & Noble College Women's Basketball Scholar-Athlete Team and Scholar-Athlete of the Year were released by the Southern States Athletic Conference.
Faulkner's Ashlyn Adkins highlights the team as the 2021-22 Barnes & Noble College Women's Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The senior physical education major posted a 3.42 GPA. On the court, she was named First-Team All-Conference, Honorable Mention All-American and CoSIDA Academic All-District. She averaged 33.8 minutes, 15.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.1 steals per game for the Eagles.

- To be eligible, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in both academic and athletic standing, must be starters or important reserves, have at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA and have competed in 50% of competitions
- Graduate students are not eligible, and transfers must have completed one semester at the school
- Engle (3.93), Rowley (3.91) and Seal (3.83) from William Carey have the three highest GPA's
- Cannady, Thomas, Engle and Seal join Adkins as First-Team All-Conference selections, while Thomas was also named SSAC Defensive Player of the Year
