Alabama State University issued the following announcement on Oct.30.
Next year will be historic for the Magic City Classic since it will be the first time the game will be played in the spring.
The Hornets will face the A&M Bulldogs on April 17, 2021, since the traditional October showdown was postponed due to the national pandemic.
"We still expect the same excitement and rivalry that fans have enjoyed for nearly 80 years," said ASU Athletics Director Jennifer Williams. "Having the game in the spring will be different for all of us, but we are looking forward to welcoming fans and having a great time."
