Graduates earn 127 degrees from South University-Montgomery

About 70.9 percent of the 127 degrees and certificates handed out by South University-Montgomery in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Montgomery conferred 39 associate's degrees and 31 bachelor's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in physical therapy technician/assistant. Data shows the school gave out 37 associate's degrees in physical therapy technician/assistant, followed by 13 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse and 12 bachelor's degrees in health/health care administration/management.

The university enrolled 390 students for 2017-18, including 321 in undergraduate programs and 69 in graduate programs.
