In Washington D.C., Representative Barry Moore of Alabama’s 1st Congressional District has introduced a resolution to designate May as Fallen Heroes Memorial Month. The initiative is supported by several other representatives, including Dan Crenshaw (TX-02), Randy Weber (TX-14), Claudia Tenney (NY-24), Buddy Carter (GA-01), Stephanie Bice (OK-05), David Valadao (CA-22), Morgan Luttrell (TX-08), and Daniel Webster (FL-11).
Rep. Moore emphasized the importance of acknowledging the sacrifices made by service members. “The freedom we enjoy each day comes with a price – the lives of men and women who are willing to sacrifice everything to ensure our country is safe and prosperous,” he stated. He further noted that the resolution serves as a public acknowledgment of these sacrifices, citing scripture: “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
Rep. Bice also expressed her support for the resolution, stating, “It’s imperative we continue to remember those who have given their lives in service to this great nation.” She affirmed her commitment to honoring service members, veterans, and fallen heroes.
Rep. Weber highlighted the significance of remembering those who have died in defense of American freedoms. “We must never forget our fallen heroes,” he said. “These brave men and women gave everything—paying the ultimate price—to defend the freedoms we hold dear.”
