Washington, D.C. —On May 26, Rep. Barry Moore (AL-02) made a statement regarding the unanimous ruling in favor of Michael and Chantell Sackett in the Sackett v Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) case. This ruling narrows the Biden Administration’s authority on private lands and waters.

“Today’s ruling is a resounding victory for rural America,” said Moore. “Sackett v. EPA affirms the property rights of farmers, ranchers, foresters and landowners. In the wake of this ruling, I call on the Biden Administration to immediately rescind its unconstitutional proposed WOTUS rule.”

In January 2023, Rep. Moore joined a letter led by Western Caucus Chairman Dan Newhouse opposing Biden’s WOTUS rule.

In February 2023, Rep. Moore joined a resolution led by Rep. Sam Graves (R-MO) expressing disapproval of Biden’s WOTUS rule.

In March 2023, Rep. Moore praised the House’s passage of Rep. Graves’ resolution of disapproval.
