On Tuesday, March 18, former Holtville High School standout Sam Silas’ current college team, the Jacksonville State Gamecocks, won 6-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Samford Bulldogs.

The game took place at Joe Lee Griffin Field. This was their second matchup against the Bulldogs this season.

The Gamecocks’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m. at FIU Baseball Stadium against FIU Golden Panthers.
