On Friday, March 28, former Holtville High School standout Sam Silas’ current college team, the Jacksonville State Gamecocks, lost 9-8 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Liberty Flames.

The game took place at Rudy Abbott Field at Jim Case Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Flames this season.

The Gamecocks’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 29 at 3 p.m. at Rudy Abbott Field at Jim Case Stadium against Liberty Flames.
