Washington, D.C. — Rep. Barry Moore has taken a stand against a 1,050-page, $460 billion minibus monstrosity that has garnered praise from Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. Moore expressed his concerns about the bill, highlighting the absence of cuts to certain expenditures that House Republicans had previously negotiated.

In a statement, Rep. Barry Moore emphasized the achievements of House Republicans in previous appropriations bills, stating, "House Republicans secured massive wins for the American people in the seven appropriations bills we passed, including spending cuts to rein in our ballooning national debt.”

Moore went on to criticize the minibus monstrosity for failing to address critical issues, such as the chaos at the southern border. He asserted, "This minibus monstrosity gives away those victories and includes no funding to end the chaos at our southern border. If we're going to secure the border and get our spending under control, we must stop handing victories to Schumer and Biden."

The bill in question, according to Moore, falls short in various areas, including the lack of provisions to defund certain programs and initiatives. It does not address concerns such as the DOJ prosecution of presidential candidates, construction projects, asylum expansions, VA initiatives, and environmental policies that were previously included in House GOP bills.

Despite the criticism from Rep. Moore and other House Republicans, the minibus bill continues to progress through the legislative process, drawing attention to the ongoing debates surrounding government spending and policy priorities.
